Access is by dirt road so you'll travel west from Tucson on Highway 86 (Ajo Way), turn onto South Sarita Mountain Road, and continue about 15 minutes to Big Run Ave. From there, the route to Black Oak Ave requires 4WD or Awd, as the road is bumpy, sandy, and includes a creek bed crossing. Signage is limited, so using GPS or a detailed map is strongly recommended.
