The Grand Gulf State Park can be found about 10 minutes away. They call this area the "Little Grand Canyon." The park is one of the natural wonders of the Ozarks. The "Grand Gulf" stretches for more than a mile between 130 for high walls. Visitors can view the gulf from trails on top or from the floor where they can walk under the natural bridge.

All throughout this region, you can find thousands of Conservation land, as well as beautiful rivers and streams.

The famous Mammoth Springs, AR is located just about 5 minutes south of Thayer on Us-63. This is where you will find the Spring River, Mammoth Spring Aquatic Center, Mammoth Spring State Park, and some antique shops.
