The lush grass in the bottoms and the steep cliffs offer the habitat to sustain healthy populations. The elevation changes are drastic.

Black Bears find shelter in the rock outcroppings.

Elk winter on the southeast facing slopes and calve in the valleys in the Spring. The dark cover of pines provide excellent rutting areas for bulls in each canyon during the Fall. Two historic migration trails run through the ranch. Adjoining BLM land provides access to additional land.

Mule Deer find protection near the overhanging cliffs surrounded by thick brush leading to the pine lined valleys. Every year there is an opportunity to hunt a once in a lifetime buck.

Those looking to explore will find beds of fossils at different elevations reflecting past sea life. Beds of geodes and stalactites lead the imagination to what this property once was. Nearly every outing on this ranch will lead to something new.
