Wintertime offers outstanding snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Sportspersons from Michigan and Wisconsin have cooperated to provide snowmobile trails that span the borderlands. Snowmobile Trail No. 13 is runs just west of Co Rd 531, just a couple miles away. Spring wildflowers provide a beautiful backdrop for woodland hikes. Originally not connected with navigable streams, 19th century loggers dammed the Cisco Lake outlet to the Cisco Branch of the Ontonagon River to facilitate floating logs out of the area.

Lot 9 Directions: From the Marquette Intersection of West Washington and Lincoln Avenue head west on West Washington Street to Highway US-41. Continue west on US-41 for 54 miles to the M-28/US-141 Intersection. Take a left and go 38.5 miles on M-28 to Bruce Crossing. Take a left on US 45 and go 19.1 miles to US-2. Take a right and go 11.1 miles to Co Rd 531 (Look for Cisco-Clearwater Lake Road Sign). Take a left and go 3.1 miles to Sylvan Isle Drive. Take a left and go 1/2 mile to Eagle Drive. Take a left and go 3/10 mile to Red/Green Gate on left (Look for Fire No. E19200 and Little Africa LLC Sign). Take gated road and go to clearing on the left.
