Livestock

Currently the ranch runs 150 cow calf pairs year-round as well as 250 stocker cattle for approximately 150 days. Hay production has averaged 300 tons annually and varies with grazing strategies. The ranch currently holdes a Forrest service grazing lease on the adjacent 640 acres on the southwest border of the property. The good mix of warm and cool season grasses give the grazer the opportunity to utilize the multiple pastures throughout the year with proper rotation.

Water

Cherry Creek runs a little over a mile on the west and Bozle creek runs a quarter of a mile on the east side of the ranch. History and Attractions

Fort Robinson State Park which can be seen from just about anywhere on the ranch is one of the most visited destinations for families in the country and avid history buffs. The Agate Fossil Beds National Monument sits just a short drive south of the ranch and is an incredible destination to see dinosaur fossils, Native American history, and artifacts as well as many other western items. The Hudson-Meng Research and Educational Center offers the opportunity to see a massive bison burial site with the remains of over 600 bison preserved in the mass grave. Toadstool Park is also just a stone's throw from the ranch. It has many fascinating geologic formations and unusual rock formations. Other attractions include the Old West Trail Days Prca Rodeo over the 4th of July, Peabody Hale Fiddle Contest as well as many other events.

The area also has excellent fishing in Box Butte Reservoir, Lake Whitney and the White River. Access to thousands of acres of public land is also available in the Ponderosa Wildlife Management Area, Soldier Creek Wilderness Area and the Oglala National Grasslands.
