Costilla County, Colorado

Land Description
The work has been done for you. A driveway and RV pad has already been installed making this turnkey. Pull in and camp immediately or start the build on your new mountain cabin. There is a well maintained, wide road leading to the property giving you easy access all year round.
Let there be light...There is a power pole 1/4 mile away giving you the option of bringing power to your property easier and more affordably. There is no shame in enjoying the Colorado wilderness with modern amenities. Carting around generators and hauling gas can get tiresome. You will definitely be the envy of the valley with electricity and this remote location.
Privacy and seclusion is what most people seek in the San Luis Valley. With an acreage this size, 5.89 acres, you won't have to share your piece of paradise with anyone else. Set yourself back in the pinon and pine and enjoy the view. You won't have to deal with crowds, city traffic, noise, light pollution, industrial or commercial interference. There are Colorado residents stuck in and among the hills out here that enjoy the raw, unspoiled land. You have great views from this open parcel. You get the hills and trees as well as the mountain ranges on the horizon. This has a high enough elevation that you can look out over the valley and the outlying Sangre de Cristos. Beautiful. You won't see chain restaurants and businesses littering the roadsides. You won't have high-rise condos or hotels ruining the skyline. You can watch the sun rise over the mountains and set behind the mountains in perfect peace. The wildlife roams the area in harmony with us. It's a tranquil place.
If you need supplies, Fort Garland and San Luis are small towns with modest amenities. You have a couple gas stations, Dollar General, hardware store, liquor store and dispensary at either location. For larger purchases, Alamosa is just west on Hwy 160 and will have all the “big town” luxuries. The San Luis area is protected from the mega cities by the mountain range. Pueblo, Colorado Springs, and Denver are out of sight and out of mind but if you need big city offerings, they are less than 4 hours drive.
There is plenty to do right here in Southern Colorado. The lifestyle is laid back and carefree but adventure is right around the corner. You can climb the 14ers, hike, off-road, kayak the Rio Grande, hunt, fish, sail down the sand dunes, ski, and then sit and soak in the natural hot springs.
Costilla County is a place that once you visit, it is hard to leave and go back to the busyness of life. The geographic phenomena, the undeveloped land, the miles of open valley surrounded by mountains, and the local people draw you in. Why come and stay in a crowded campground or average hotel when you can own your own piece of Colorado for so little? a month and you can stay whenever and however long you cash price or a month for 60 months after a down payment.
