Olson Memorial Park: This 15 acre park is named after the first Mayor of Portage, Arthur H. Olson. Located just off of Sunrise Ave, Olson Park includes a picnic shelter, playground, large open play space, sled hill and access to the Prairie Duneland Trail.

Indiana Dunes National Park: 15 miles of the southern shore of Lake Michigan and has much to offer.
