There is a commuter railroad to Albuquerque and Santa Fe in Belen and several festivals throughout the year. The total population is around 7,000. In addition, Los Lunas was recently awarded a federal grant to build water infrastructure out to its new Bnsf Central Rail Park. The construction of the rail park and its attendant infrastructure should bring lots of jobs to the area.
