World- class Fly Fishing and Trophy Mule Deer.
This property is located in NM hunting unit 2B, which is recognized as a trophy mule deer unit - giant deer are taken within this unit yearly. The unit is managed both for populations and size, so opportunities abound. The land has deer, elk, turkeys, bobcats, bear and mountain lions. There are both landowner and OTC tags available for these species on the property.
The property has 600 of riverfront access to the Los Pinos River, which is known locally as the Pine River and has been called one of the best trout streams the angling world has never heard of. The nearby Navajo Reservoir's waters offers salmon, northern pike, rainbow trout, and brown trout.

History
This property's location south of the Southern Ute Reservation and north of the Navajo reservoir makes it a haven for wildlife as there is very little human presence in the area. Wild horses are also a common sight.
The Navajo Dam is on the San Juan River which is a tributary of the Colorado River. It is a 402ft earthen dam built by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation in the 1960S to provide flood control, irrigation, domestic and industrial water supply and storage for droughts. The dam is a major feature of the Colorado River Storage Project which regulates water resources across the entire Upper Colorado River Basin.
Location
The property is located one mile south of the Colorado border in New Mexico. It is approximately an hour from both Pagosa Springs and Durango, CO. The closest commercial airport is in Durango, with a private air strip available in Pagosa Springs.
Navajo Lake is the second largest in the state and offers multiple campgrounds, marinas, and boat ramps. The San Juan River is a world-class fly fishing destination.
