Christmas Valley Sand Dunes is located just 12 miles from this property. The sand dunes include 11,000 acres of dunes for off-highway vehicle use. The area consists of medium-sized dunes and sand bowls. The dunes are made mostly of ash and pumice that blew into the region 7,000 years ago when Mt. Mazama erupted forming Crater Lake.
