Significant Civil War History happened on this site being this is where the Griswold Factory was located. The factory was at the time the largest cotton gin manufacturer in the U.S. During the civil war the factory was leased to the Confederate Govt. to retool and produce the Griswold and Grier Revolver. These pistols where copies of the Colt 1851 Navy Revolver and used by the Confederate Soldiers.

Later in 1864 this area is where the Battle of Griswoldville started which was the beginning of Sherman's “March to the Sea”.

Great duck hunting in the beaver ponds, mature timber, and a large clearing along the pond.

In a rural area but only 10-miles east of Macon.

Shown by appointment only. Please contact Land Agent.
