Land on South Bay
M7l4748 Lead Mine Road : Lubec, ME 04652
Washington County, Maine

Land Description
A three acre parcel separated by Lead Mine Road is located just beyond the local 'haul-up' use by locals to access the waterfront. The property waterside parcel sits high and dry with views out over South Bay. A soil test has been completed on the parcel opposite the waterfront. The area is rich in natural resources and pristine beauty.
The property has a mixture of trees with the waterside having been thinned many years ago. Build on one side of the road and clear a spot on the water-side for a seasonal sleeping cottage, gazebo or leave natural and just enjoy. Launch your kayak and explore this island studded South Bay.
Located on the outskirts of Lubec, you are just a 15 minute drive to town and all the town conveniences such as groceries, town hall, post office, restaurants and gift shops and of course the public and commercial waterfront. Lubec is a traditional fishing village and is the easternmost town in the United States. Formerly the home to a large sardine industry, the town now plays host to the Regional Medical Center as well as local fishermen and lobstermen. Lubec's downtown area boasts large homes built by sea captains and industry leaders and quaint restaurants and shops. The public boat launch, Fisherman's Memorial Park, and the breakwater are all within walking distance from each other. Watch the seals frolic in the tidal current, the fishermen as they head out for their daily catch, or just relax on one of the granite benches overlooking the waterfront.
