Land for Sale in Calais
M33 L111 Off Carson Road : Calais, ME 04619
Washington County, Maine

Land Description
Large wooded lot consisting of 207 acres located in the border town of Calais, Maine. This lot offers a mixture of tree growth and is a portion of the Carson Road which has been discontinued by the town and currently has been upgraded by the local ATV club.
The property is in tree growth and has marketable timber ready to harvest in the next year. The property has some wetlands on it so planning a harvest one should plan for a winter harvest unless alternative access to the property is acquired.
The property is rich with wildlife and was used as a hunting camp for one of the previous owners who was a licensed hunting guide. Remnants of the old camp still remain on the property.
While the property is remote with no power, it is only a 15 minutes drive to all amenities the city of Calais has to offer.
Calais is one of two cities located in Washington County, Maine. The city borders St. Stevens, New Brunswick, Canada and offers three border crossings. The two counties are separated by the St. Croix River which flows down to the Passamaquoddy Bay and into the Atlantic at the beginning of Fundy Bay. The river is deep and accommodates shipping.
