Land Description
Volusia County Hunting Preserve a 308-Acre tract located south of State Road 44. This parcel lies in between Deland and New Smyrna Beach and is a mixture of old Florida woods and improved pasture. This property consists of about 70 acres of pasture with the remainder to the south being wooded. The road system on this property allows one to easily access the property in its entirety. The wooded portion of the property is a mixture of pine woods, scattered oaks, hidden clearings, and cypress heads. From a hunting perspective, this property lies in an excellent location. Deep Creek Preserve borders the subject property to the south. This preserve consists of a diversity of native Florida land. The portion of the preserve that borders the subject property is roughly 4,000 acres that receive no hunting pressure. This section of the preserve only permits recreational activities such as hiking and allows no vehicular activity. Much of the wildlife that the preserve houses also call the subject property home. The subject property also borders a 1,300-Acre tract to the east that consists of much of the same habitat. This property and the preserve act as wildlife corridors that allow the game to easily flow onto the subject property. Volusia County Hunting Preserve would make a perfect retreat as it is only: 50 minutes from Orlando, 40 minutes from Sanford, and 30 minutes from New Smyrna Beach. If you are looking for a secluded tract that has hunting, ranching, and recreational potential this could be the one for you.
