This is south-central Colorado. Alamosa is the cultural and economic center of the San Luis Valley Ranches. The San Luis Valley Ranches is predominantly a farming and agricultural community with Adam's State College being an important part of its economic structure. The property is within several hours drive to Denver and many of the country's leading resorts in Colorado and nearby New Mexico, including Taos and Santa Fe.
This land was platted and surveyed in the early 1970's and wide open spaces are still available. There are very few neighbors near this property that offers privacy and seclusion.
This property can be used for recreational camping. It can also be used for a permanent residence. The County requires a 600 sq. ft. dwelling size and a well, septic and solar (or wind) power system before issuing a building permit. Using a Travel Trailer or RV full time is not allowed in the state of Colorado.
According to the photographer that took pictures of this property, "the road that it would technically be located off of is non-existent. I could see where they cut the roads maybe 5-10+ years ago, but since all of the lots in that area are empty, they have not been maintained. I parked closer to Sterling and walked down to the GPS point..."
