Bridges Tract : Rowland : Robeson County : North Carolina

Land Description

Just a few miles north of the North Carolina/South Carolina line and just off I-95, this tract is composed of two adjoining parcels totaling almost 270 acres and offers a wide array of recreational opportunities. With access from Dew Road in southern Robeson County, this tract is about as quiet and remote as they come while still being extremely accessible. Being just off I-95, it is centrally and conveniently located to multiple cities. The tract is 45 minutes south of Fayetteville, NC , 45 minutes north of Florence, SC and 1.5 hours to either Wilmington, NC or Myrtle Beach, SC.

Loaded with multiple opportunities for recreation this is an outdoorsman’s gem. There is a good gated access road leading from Dew Road through the property. Large farm fields surround the property providing excellent forage for wildlife. There are over 50 acres of mature bottomland hardwood swamp on the west side of the tract which forms a perfect boundary to any neighbors. Open areas within the flooded gum and cypress trees provide an excellent opportunity for waterfowl hunting. Approximately 120 acres of bottomland hardwoods were harvested in 2000. These naturally regenerating areas are loaded with a variety of wildlife species, especially deer, turkey, and small game.

On the higher ground sits approximately 60 acres of old agriculture fields that are packed with pulpwood-sized loblolly pine. These areas could be thinned to generate instant income. There are old paths around and through all three of these old fields and some spots are already cleared, ready for a food plot to be installed or perfect for construction of a hunting cabin. And at the center of it all is a beautiful beaver pond. Small sunfish abound in this pond and there is a thriving population of great blue herons that nest in the multiple snags scattered throughout the pond. With a little effort, the ponds water level could be easily manipulated and create even more opportunity for fishing and waterfowl hunting.

Priced to sell, this property has an abundance of recreational opportunities and timber production potential. Call our office today to schedule a time to take a look.
