Whitewater rafting, canyoning, ziplining, safari float, cave exploration, waterfalls and many other activities are less than an hour from town. Head up to Rio Celeste to see one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Costa Rica or Cano Negro for exotic wildlife.

Nuevo Arenal offers an interesting selection of lodging options and hotels. You won't find sprawling all inclusive resorts or corporate cookie-cutter chains. But you will find small bed and breakfasts, inns, and colorful boutique hotels. Many of these hotels have less than ten rooms and specialize in personal service. You'll also find many rental houses in Nuevo Arenal. This is an ex-pat community after-all. Many of the homeowners rent their houses when they are not around.

Aside from tourist attractions and accommodations, Nuevo Arenal has plenty to offer anybody seeking a place to retire or a second home. It's conveniently located only a couple hours from Liberia International Airport (Lir) and offers everything you need to get by comfortably on a daily basis.
