Approximately 4.5 (+/-) acres just outside of Winona, MO. You will also find that Shannon County is one of the best areas for National Forest and Rivers. There are 1000'S of National Forest/State Conservation land and the Ozark National Scenic Riverways.
Just a short drive from Winona, you will find County Road 3271 off of HWY 19. You will drive down the gravel road until you reach Forest Service Road 4271. As the forest service road winds through the National Forest, you will come to a gate, continue through the gate. Follow the easement road all the way until you reach the easement road that turns to the right. Parcel 5 will be the first driveway on this easement road.
As you come into the parcel, it is mainly level. There is a huge clearing with plenty of room to build several structures or even pens for a couple of small farm animals. There are some mature hardwoods scattered throughout the parcel. Although there is a high-power electric line that runs the east line of the property, you can not tap into that for electricity on the parcel. This will be a completely off-grid parcel. You will want to drill a well, haul in water, or do a catchment system for a water source.
This is the perfect spot for you and a small group of buddies to set up deer camp. Directly to the southeast of the property, there are over 15,000 acres. There are over 6,000 acres to the west, and the east, off of HWY 19, there are over 4,000 acres of National Forest. So as you can see, there is a ton of hunting opportunities right here. The general public can not get the conservation land to the southeast or west from this area.
Not only are you surrounded by the National Forest and State Conservation Land on this property, but you are only a mere 25 minutes from the amazing town of Eminence, MO, home to the only herd of wild horses in Missouri. Jack's Fork River runs through the heart of this town and is a sight to see. This is a spring-fed river that flows for over 46.4 miles before reaching the Current River. Floating, swimming, and fishing are just some of the activities you can enjoy while on the river. If you love horses, check out the Cross County Trail Ride that takes place every year in August. People from all over the country come to enjoy this trail ride. They have live concerts, rodeos, and other attractions in town while the trail ride occurs.
