In the Archipelago islands of Bocas Del Toro, only about 50 of the properties have titled deeds registered in the public registry office. The other 50 is Rights of Possession which is not registered in the public registry. This Bocas del Toro Beachfront Property is titled and registered in the public registry office and free and clear.
The proximity of the property line of properties on Isla Carenero to the high tide mark is just ten meters. In Costa Rica for example you cannot own property within 50 meters of the high tide mark. This aspect guarantees nobody can build between your property line and the high tide mark. Or that a road or such like will be built on the waterfront easement by the government. Most properties in Panama have a ten meter easement followed by another 12 meters for a road, making the easement a total of 22 meters set back. But not so with our properties, because being a small island the likelihood of a road being built on it is very remote. There is a public path however.
Isla Carenero is only a stone's throw away from the main hub of the Archipelago, with the town of Bocas del Toro and it's international airport, which in 2010/11 night lights were installed into the run way and the new up-graded terminal was built to handle it's expected growth. On isla Carenero we enjoy being close to town for convenience but enjoy even more the solitude away from the hustle and bustle of the town.
There are very few properties in the islands where the electricity has been extended out from the town of Bocas. The island of Carenero has town electricity, and the owner extended it for more than two kilometers throughout the mother farm, of which over half that distance is underground. Isla Carenero also has town water although most people have additional rain water tanks for storage and hard line phone cables with high speed internet available. Cable and Wireless along with other phone companies offer their services in Panama and Bocas, it's pretty competitive.
Panama and the islands of Bocas are outside the hurricane zone. This means living on a tropical Caribbean island with Jungle and reefs, free of hurricanes and only having tropical storms. Plus the islands have lots of beautiful underground water that comes from the mainland mountains, just 30 minutes away by speed boat.
