Bosque Del Oso AKA forest of the bear is but 20 miles as the crow flies and can take as many as 10 or more years to draw a tag. You can buy a black bear tag over the counter in picketwire ranch. Turkeys, bears, mule deer, and elk are numerous in Picketwire Ranch. Currently there isn't a home owners association. Property owners are the only people maintaining roads in the subdivision at this time. The land is beautiful and there is thick vegetation throughout the ranch. 2 hours from Colorado Springs and about 3 hours from Denver.
