Land Description

Iron Lake 30 Acre Parcel with 344 Feet of water frontage. This parcel is located in Iron County of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. This county is in the west central region of the U.P. and borders Wisconsin to the south, making it ideal for access to both States. Iron Lake is a 396-Acre lake, which has depths of 45 feet. It is an extremely good Walleye lake, and it also has some Northern pike, Smallmouth bass, and some Bluegills, Perch, and Crappies. There is a nice public access site with a hard surfaced ramp just a short drive north of the parcel. This area is known for All-Season Recreation. The area surrounding the lake includes northern hardwood and pine forests, other popular sporting lakes and rivers. The parcel is located just a few miles north-west of the City of Iron River, which has strong businesses, beautiful historic buildings, and a growing medical community. The Iron River (a Blue Ribbon Trout Stream which flows through the City), the Apple Blossom Hiking Trail, the Upper Peninsula Championship Rodeo, and the Iron County Historical Museum are all located here. A Non-Motorized Heritage Trail originates in Iron River, and ends at the Pentoga Park, a 60-Acre County Park. There are 236 miles of snowmobile trails and 37 miles of ORV Trails in Iron County for winter and summer fun. The State Line ORV Trail is less than a half-mile away. You can canoe or kayak on nearby rivers. Just a few miles away are privately owned lands enrolled in Commercial Forest Act which are available for public hunting, trapping and fishing, and there are thousands of acres of Ottawa National Forest Lands a mile away for popular activities like fishing, hunting, camping, snowmobiling, biking, walking, hiking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. If you're into Hunting, there are more than 425,000 acres of public land open to hunters in this County.. Whitetail deer, Black bear, Woodcock, Ruffed grouse, Partridge, Eastern wild turkey, and a variety of Duck are found here. The property being offered for sale has been surveyed, and four parcels have been identified along the shoreline for possible future development. The level terrain should accommodate building, and there are beautiful standing red pine which could become log cabin building material. The property shoreline is composed of hard sand. Electricity and telephone is available at the road side. Survey is available. If you are seeking a waterfront property with development potential contact us for your private tour today.
