Chapel Valley Farms is a highly diversified farm located in Cullman County, AL. Multiple streams of income already in place on this unique farm that consists of 6 Broiler Houses, a Wedding Chapel and Event Venue, Pecan Orchard, Solar Panels, and a commercial deer processing facility. There is also a nice owner's home located on the property as well.
The Wedding and Events Venue - This is an operating venue where the current owners currently host 40-60 events, mostly weddings, per year. There is a large, barn-style chapel with plenty of room for large events, a bride's and bridesmaid changing area, restrooms, and a garden in front where many outdoor ceremonies take place. There is also another large barn-style post and beam construction finished out with a rustic interior. There's a large area downstairs for receptions, a kitchen area, and the loft is finished as a groomsmen's chambers.
The backdrop of the wedding venue is the beautiful pecan orchard. These trees, just now coming into production occupy 20+/- acres of the farm and serve as a buffer between the wedding venue and other parts of the farm operation. There are several cultivars established including Oconee, Lakota, Jenkins, Konza, and Cape Fear. This part of the operation will only get better as the orchard matures, with the oldest being only 12 years old. Pecan demand is high, and increasing year after year. There is also a beautiful lake set in the middle of the pecan trees there.
The Broiler Poultry Farm is located at the rear of the property and consists of 6 broiler houses 40x400, with 4 built in 2005 and 2 built in 2006. Chapel Valley currently is contracted with Ingram, growing a 3.85+/- lb bird on a 35 day grow out. Only minor upgrades are expected. Currently Tunnel Ventilated, with Hired Hand Controllers, ChoreTime Revolution Feed Lines with Chickmates, and Radiant Brooders. One wall is solid exterior, with 4x6 Post on all walls. The poultry farm is accessed off of a public road at the back of the farm. This portion of the farm is a bio-secure area, and all visitors must adhere to the and Ingram's Farms visitor policies.
Located between the poultry farm and the pecan orchard is a bank of solar panels. Currently the owner sells all of the power generated back to Cullman Electric Cooperative. There is enough production to offset the cost of running the entire farm.
Also located at the rear of the farm is a Chapel Valley Deer Processing. This is a fully contained business that the current owner is leasing out. Historically, they have processed over 1,500 deer per year here.
The brick owner's home is located near the front of the property and is well situated in the landscape. The home was built in 2000 and with 3,200+ sq feet, there is plenty of room for family. There are 2 levels above grade and a basement. There is a beautiful outdoor pavilion next to the home complete with fireplace and outdoor kitchen area.
In addition to all the unique portions of this farm listed above, there is a litter shed, equipment shed, livestock barn, and stock watering pond.
Chapel Valley Farm is located outside the NW Cullman County community called Jones Chapel. It is rural, but has easy access from Interstate 65, and is just a couple miles from US Hwy 278.
