206 Spectacular Acres with 120 Acre : Pinewood : Clarendon County : South Carolina

Land Description

On the Old River Road in Clarendon County lies such a jewel of a property that, honestly, it must be seen to be appreciated. Mossy Oak Properties, Black River Land and Home is proud to offer Blackwater Lodge for your consideration.

With 206 acres, 120 of which is waterfowl impoundment, a Main Hall, a Lodging Building, an Outdoor Bar area, Open Sided Event Pavilion and 5 Stand Shooting Pavilion, this property is set up for numerous different activities and/or events.

Nestled in a 60 year old pecan tree grove, it all begins with the Main Lodge. Made with rough hewn cypress siding, the first thing that immediately grabs your attention is the soaring 20 foot vaulted ceilings above a 4 sided open fireplace. The fireplace is large enough that I actually stood inside it. Decorated by an interior designer from Asheville, NC, the interior of the building gives one a feel for its immense size and us cozy as a small room. There is seating for 100 with another 50 with small adjustments. A fully tricked out commercial kitchen available for your own cooking or to be used in conjunction with caterers or other events. One caterer tells us I love working at Blackwater. The kitchen is large, roomy and has everything we need.

While there is plenty of space to gather around the huge fireplace and visit, smaller groups may want to retreat to the mezzanine to watch television or shoot pool on the pool table. Wonderfully laid out and absolutely beautiful with it's rough wooded decor, it blends perfectly with the rustic setting of the surrounding area.

The Lodging Cabin is set up for weddings, offering quarters for wedding parties complete with enormous bridal and groomsmen suites. Wedding parties are offered the opportunity to arrive on Thursday or Friday and leave on Sunday without ever having to leave the property. It would also serve as quarters for duck hunters who enjoy hunting on the 120 acres of duck impoundments. For downtime, enjoyment there is a 5 stand shooting pavilion. And finally, there is a covered event pavilion useful for weddings, events and entertainment. The pavilion was recently used as a corporate Best of event as seem om several of the attached photos.

Currently, the owners use the property only for family and friends. Wedding venues have only come from word of mouth. There are no commercial duck hunts-only family and friends. The possibilities for this property are through the roof. Commercial duck hunting, wedding venue, corporate retreats-all lead to the possibility of an extremely lucrative location. Kory and Willie Robertson were here in 2020 for a fundraising event. The Turkey Federation had an event here the weekend after I visited for photos. The possibilities are limitless. The property is that spectacular. And, of course, you could always just use it for yourself.
