McLeod Tract (1) 39 Acres Crenshaw County, Alabama Location: South Alabama, Region 11. Located three miles outside Luverne. Troy is only 20 miles to the east and Greenville 26 miles to the west. Description: This property is an excellent recreation tract with plenty of deer and turkey. The land was strip mined for iron ore many years ago, and has left several pond sites on the property. It has a mixture of hardwoods and pines, with plenty of cover for the wildlife. It is a very private location. Even though it is on a dirt road, the one mile long road has been closed to the public and is gated on both ends with a combination lock for entrance. Recreation: Plenty of deer and turkey are prevalent on this property. The owner has not hunted this property in years, and there are signs of deer everywhere. The ponds have not been fished, so there should be some ready to mount above the fireplace. This is a unique tract of land because of the strip mining, and with the ease of access but secured road, this would be a great tract to own.
Access: From the traffic light at the post office in Luverne, take 29 east toward Troy and go two miles to West Third St. Turn right, go .1 mile and take right. Go one mile to dead end and take a left. Go .2 mile and gate to access road will be on the right. Open locked gate and go .8 mile and property starts on the left.
