Located at 604 Beneventum Road, near Georgetown, in Georgetown County. Georgetown County Tax Map No. 02-1006-028.00.00. Property consists of 190 gross acres, which includes 100 acres of rice fields. The upland areas are improved with the 4,471 SF plantation house, 2 guest cabins, a shop/shed, 3-door garage, recreational building/shed, and boat dock. The Beneventum Plantation house is on the National Register as being built in 1750+/- and was extensively renovated in 1997 to restore and preserve the original character of the dwelling. The two guest cabins have also been extensively restored. The plantation house is currently vacant, but has been well-maintained. The property surrounding the plantation house and guest houses contains many large live oak trees and azaleas, is well drained, and well maintained. The floating dock, boat ramp and recreational building are located on a sandy bluff overlooking the Black River. The wetland areas are unprotected marshland with access to the Black River from the plantation upland area.
