Located eight miles south of the Town of Scottsville, this property has over one-quarter mile of road frontage on Route 678. Over 125 acres of the tract was planted with loblolly pine in 1997 and years prior. These pine stands are now reaching merchantable size and could provide potential income from thinning or clearcutting within the next couple of years. In addition to privacy, the property features excellent hunting. Abundant deer, turkey, and even bear are found on the broad ridges and along the branches of Rock Island Creek. Smallmouth bass, chain pickerel and sunfish are present in Rock Island Creek. At least three public boat launch sites are found on the James River, within eight miles of the property.
From the town of Scottsville, drive south on Route 20 for six (6.0) miles to the community of Centenary. Turn right on Route 678. Go west on Route 678 for two (2.0) miles to the property on the right. Turn right on the gravel access road to enter the center of the property. After passing a residence on the right, you will come to a gate. The gate combination is 0-4-6-0. Property lines are marked with orange paint. Total Route 678 frontage on Rock Island # 4 is approximately 3,000 feet.
