Located seven miles southwest of the Town of Scottsville, this tract has 2,800 feet of frontage on Route 678. Over 130 acres of planted loblolly pine is found on this tract. Much of the pine is now reaching merchantable size and could provide income through thinning or clearcutting. Abundant wildlife--especially deer and turkey--are found on the property. Although Rock Island Creek is of modest size, smallmouth bass, chain pickerel and sunfish are present. Within eight miles of the tract, there are at least three public boat launch sites on the James River.
From the town of Scottsville, drive south on Route 20 for six (6.0) miles to the community of Centenary. Turn right on Route 678. Go west on Route 678 for two and six-tenths (2.6) miles to the bridge on Rock Island Creek. The property is on the right and has frontage along this section of Route 678 for approximately one-quarter mile. At that point the boundary line leaves Route 678 and extends northward. Approximately one-half (0.5) mile west of the Rock Island Creek bridge, the property boundary comes back to Route 678. Turn right on the gravel woods road to enter the center of the property. The gate combination is 0-4-6-0. Property lines are marked with orange paint.
