This is very remote property at the headwaters of Cadotte Creek bordering the National Forest. The creek usually flows all year-round, though in late summer it may go underground. About 50% of it is tree covered, including pines, firs and spruce. The other half is meadow with a few scattered trees. Since it only has seasonal access it is not recommended for year-round living. It is about 5 miles from the state highway and 20 miles from Lincoln, Montana (pop 1000). The photos describe it well. It would be the ultimate site for big game hunting, for your hunting cabin or just a place to cabin during hunting season. This country is so remote that an occasional Grizzly or Wolf has been spotted here. This property only has seasonal access by four-wheel drive due to heavy snowfall and the fact that you must cross the Continental divide to get to it! Access during the winter would have to be by snowshoe, snowmobile or dogsled. Snow levels can get over 10 feet deep! CD-2 borders National Forest land that stretches all the way to Glacier National Park and Canada.
