Located in Newberry County on Indian Creek Road, Kinards, SC. Just 5 minutes from I-26 Exit 66 at Jalapa Road. Approximately 10 miles northwest of the City of Newberry, SC -- only about 45 minutes from Greenville, Spartanburg, or Columbia, SC, and less than two hours from Charlotte… Not to mention that it is in the middle of some of the best hunting in the Southeast. This great tract of land adjoins lands of the Sumter National Forest and is bordered for over 1,900 feet on the south by Indian Creek.
More than 102 acres of beautiful Mature Hardwood sawtimber grows along rich bottomlands of Indian Creek and its tributaries and on the adjoining slopes - prinicpally White Oak, Southern Red Oak, Water Oak, Hickory, Yellow Poplar, Sweetgum. Stands of Mature Loblolly Pine sawtimber as well as merchantable and pre-merchantable plantations occupy the upland sites. Great diversity of timber types and ages make for excellent wildlife habitat. Please call us for complete timber details.
OUTSTANDING wildlife habitat. There are plenty of Deer and Turkey on this unique property – along with a wide variety of song birds and other wildlife. NINE established game food plots, including one Dove Field on this tract, together total about twelve acres. Here in Newberry County, you can hunt deer from October 1 through January 1 -- and each hunter can take up to five antlered bucks each season. You may wish to contact the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources for more detailed information on seasons, licensing and regulations.
The old, well maintained, farm house would make an ideal hunt camp cabin, or place to live fulltime. Consisting of two bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, a common area, and a kitchen, this house has lots of potential. It has wooden siding, a metal roof and is shaded by stately old oaks.
There is one small pond is located just off of Indian Creek Road and we had an engineer procide a preliminary plan for additional pond site and he reported that this tract offers an excellent pond site where a pond of 2 to 3 acres could be built.
Enjoy fishing on a bigger scale? How about waterskiing? Lake Murray, Lake Greenwood, and Lake Monticello are all only about a half an hour away.
The tract offers more than 3,700 feet of paved frontage on Indian Creek Road, and County Water, County Sewer, and Natural Gas are all available on site. AT&T provides phone service to the neighborhood. A well-maintained system of woods roads provides excellent access to the interior of the tract.
Here, you can create your own trails – the rolling terrain would make a great spot to put your horses, ATVs, or dirt bikes to the test. Don’t forget the National Forest is right next door.
