Rio Rancho is a suburb of Albuquerque about 15 miles to the northwest as the crow flies. It is the fastest growing city in New Mexico. These two adjoining 1/2 acre lots totaling one acre are in one of the developed units as seen in the section map link. The big thick black line on this map is the current city limits and part of this unit is in the city limits which is just a few blocks away to the east. The county assessed value is $8,712.00 each. We got a great buy on these ourselves and are able to turn around and offer them at a great price to you! We previously sold a lot in unit 8 for $12,000 in 2006 and another one for $8500 in 2007 and I think these prices are a great investment!!
These lots are located just west of Rainbow Avenue and just south of Sandia Boulevard as seen in the map links above. These are both major roads in the subdivision. All of the photos were taken in May 2009 of this lot and it's surrounding views. As you can see in the photos as well as the aerial photo map above there is a subdivision just to the southeast a few blocks. Rainbow Park, one of the city parks, is located to the southeast as seen in the street map. We had cell service at the property. I do see power poles in the distance in some of the photos but didn't see any power in the immediate area.
The lots sit on a lower part of a very gentle rolling hill and a bit of it is more up on the hill. I took the photos on the east side of this hill so you could see the new and older homes that are in this area. There are a lot of homes to the southeast about one mile away. There are a few scattered trees and there were lots of pretty scattered wild flowers! : ) It is a beautiful view of the long range of the Sandia Mountains from the northeast to the southeast.
