Rio Rancho is a suburb of Albuquerque about 15 miles to the northwest as the crow flies. It is the fastest growing city in New Mexico. This property sits one unit to the west of the new City Center and only about a mile from new homes/development as seen in the section map link above! It also shows where the pockets of growth are as it grows from the east to the west and where Intel is located. It is located north of King Boulevard and west of Rainbow Boulevard as seen in the map links above. These are the major roads in the subdivision. All of the photos were taken in October 2007 of this lot and it's surrounding views.
The property is fairly flat with a gentle roll to the area. It is covered in lots of cactus, tall shrubs and native grasses. The cactus were blooming when we visited - very pretty! There were pretty fall colors in the brush! To the east is a beautiful long view of the Sandia Mountains! There are transmission lines to the south about 1/2 of a mile. I did zoom in on some of the photos to show how close those new developments are making those power lines look closer as well but there are a few pictures that show more of how close they are. To the southeast about a mile away there are lots of new homes/developments. It is a big view across the valley!
The new city center sits only one unit away to the east and I think this property is located in a great spot for potential growth sooner than some of the other units to the west! This property is priced higher than several properties we are selling in units that are further away from the growth because it is so close to the new city center that was just moved there in the past two years.
Mark and I personally own this lot and it is one of the few lots we own in the more developed parts of the subdivision.
